Microsoft Power Tools (Image Resizer)
This Microsoft application, once installed, will allow you to quickly resize one or more photos. It is a small downloaded executable that comes in two version depending on your Operating System.Windows XP: Image Resizer
Windows Vista: Image ResizerThese tools are provided free from Microsoft and it is NOT a tool that TN-DIRECT-REALTY.com supports. Below is a demonstration of how this resize option works in Windows XP STEP 1:
Locate your images that you want to upload for the MLS. Select the image by clicking once on the desired image or hold down your “Ctrl” or “Shift” key to select more than one photo.

STEP 2:
Simply right click on one of the images and select “Resize Pictures”.

STEP 3:
Select the first option “Small (fits a 640 x 480 screen) and click Ok. This will not delete your original image but instead create a smaller copy of the images selected. Once you click Ok Windows XP will create the smaller version of your image.

Windows Vista
The resize image utility is similar to the Windows XP PowerToy however it has more advanced features. Below outlines the steps to create an ideal image for MLS using the tools below:
STEP 1:
Locate your images that you want to upload to the MLS. Select the image by clicking once on the desired image or hold down your “Ctrl” or “Shift” key to select more than one photo.

STEP 2:
Simply right click on one of the images and select “Resize Pictures”.

STEP 3:
Your resolution should be set to 640 x 480. Clicking ok will create duplicate copies of your image. This will not delete your original image but instead create a smaller copy of the images selected. There are more advanced features available if you want to adjust how the image resize works. However for the most part the options described in this document is all you need.
